Re-Qualification

Polestar Pilates Education continues to improve and develop its curriculum and certification process.  Like most high-quality certification programs, re-qualification is an essential part of maintaining skills and quality of care.

From May 2012 there is now a new process for re-qualification. This now eliminates the Polestar’s certifications which had a 5-year validity date.

Australian Requalification (alignment with PAA)

In Australia, Polestar Pilates supports the Pilates Industry by being an educational body member of the Pilates Alliance of Australasia (PAA). In order to remain in good-standing with Polestar Pilates as a Comprehensive and/or Mat graduate in Australia, you are required to become a full member / Mat member of the PAA within 2 years from your graduation date.   This will simplify tracking all of your CEC’s in one place.  Once you have become a member, please forward your membership number to Polestar Pilates at education@polestarpilates.com, allowing Polestar to keep track of your continued membership.

USA and Non-Australian Requalification (alignment with PMA)

In order to remain in good-standing with Polestar Pilates as a Comprehensive graduate within the USA and outside Australia, you are required to EITHER become Pilates Method Alliance certified (PMA®-CPT) within 2 years from your graduation date or take 16 hours of Polestar Pilates Courses every 2 years if you do not have the PMA Exam available in your country.

You may apply for the PMA certification exam at www.pilatesmethodalliance.org by selecting the “Certification” tab and downloading the Candidate Handbook and Application.  After the PMA receives your application, the testing company will call you to make an appointment at a convenient time and location for your 3 hour 150 questions multiple choice computerized exam.

If you are PMA Certified, please forward your certification information to Polestar Headquarters in the United States at education@polestarpilates.com.

Graduates of the Polestar Reformer and Mat Programs must complete 16 hours of Polestar Pilates courses every 2 years to be re-qualified.  The new application form must be filled out and copies submitted of the courses they have taken to be considered for re-qualification along with their processing fee payment.

We are so excited to support your continued growth as professionals.  Polestar continues to work to raise the bar in providing the most current and evidence-based educational courses in our Polestar Advanced Pilates Teacher Program.  We thank you for your feedback on how we can continue to make our curriculum better.
