Re-Qualification

Polestar Pilates Education continues to improve and develop its curriculum and certification process.  Like most high-quality certification programs, re-qualification is an essential part of maintaining skills and quality of care.  Polestar’s certifications are valid for five years from the date of certification, after which time re-qualification is required.

The following outlines the requirements for re-qualification:

Rehab and Studio Practitioners requirements:

  • Teach Pilates or use Pilates as treatment 10-15 hours per week (min. 2600 hours over 5-year period).
  • Complete 80 hours of continuing education from an approved provider over a 5-year period.**
  • Practice Pilates at least 2 hour per week.

Mat and Allegro Reformer Practitioners requirements:

  • Teach 2-3 classes per week (min. 520 hours over a 5-year period).
  • Complete 80 hours of continuing education from an approved provider over a 5-year period.**
  • Practice Pilates at least 2 hour per week.

All Polestar courses, workshops, conferences and continuing education count towards re-qualification.  On the USA website there are over 25 providers listed that are approved internationally by Polestar USA.  In Australia, Polestar Pilates approves all workshops held by Pilates Alliance approved providers, including all education bodies and their respective workshops and conferences.
